Miss Kathy ♡ Kids Mindfulness & Yoga ("Miss Kathy", "we", "us") respects your privacy and the privacy of your children. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data through www.kidsyogawithkathy.com (the "Website"). We handle personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong).
1. Personal data we collect
• Contact and enquiry details: your name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message.
• Newsletter subscription details: your name and email address.
• Enrolment details: the names and ages of parents or guardians and participating children, and information needed to run the class. If you choose to tell us about a child's health condition or special learning needs, we use it only to arrange the class safely.
• Downloads and purchases: your name and email address. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
• Technical data collected automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit, collected through cookies and website analytics.
2. How we use your data
• To reply to enquiries, process enrolments and arrange classes or events.
• To provide the downloads or services you request.
• With your consent, to send news about courses, events, free resources and parenting content.
• To improve the Website and our services.
• To keep records and meet legal or regulatory requirements.
3. Direct marketing
We send marketing emails only with your consent. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us. We do not charge for this.
4. Children's data
Our services are directed at parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. Data about a child must be provided by a parent or guardian, and we collect only what is needed to provide the service. We obtain a parent or guardian's consent before using photos or videos of children, when you enroll.
5. Sharing and third-party services
We do not sell your personal data. We use the following service providers, and share data with them only as needed to run the Website and our services:
• Squarespace, for website hosting and e-commerce, and for Squarespace Email Campaigns, which we use to manage subscriptions and send emails.
• Stripe, for payment processing.
• Instagram and Facebook, whose content may be embedded on the Website.
Some of these providers are located outside Hong Kong, so your data may be transferred and processed outside Hong Kong. We require reasonable safeguards from our providers.
6. Cookies
The Website uses cookies to provide basic functions and to understand how visitors use it. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly.
7. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Our retention periods are:
• Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
• Enquiries: 12 months after our last contact with you.
• Enrolment records: for the duration of the course and 12 months afterwards.
• Health or special-needs information you give us: only while needed to run the class, and deleted within 3 months after the course ends.
• Payment and transaction records: 7 years, as required for business record-keeping under Hong Kong tax law.
• Photos and videos: for as long as they are used, until you withdraw your consent.
8. Access and correction of your data
Under the Ordinance, you have the right to ask whether we hold personal data about you, to request a copy, and to request correction of inaccurate data. We will respond within 40 days of receiving a valid request, as required by law. If we cannot respond within 40 days, we will tell you in writing before the period ends and respond as soon as practicable. We may charge a reasonable fee for processing a data access request.
